*Self-identified People of Color

** Self-identified Bodies of Culture (BOC). Bodies of Culture is a term founded by Resmaa Menakem with a desire to restore dignity to culture and take focus away from definitions of people by skin color.  What was often stripped for people who are referenced as ‘people of color’ is an acknowledgement of the depth and richness of their lineages, people become defined by a phenotype (in this case, skin color).
